Review: Coffee & Vanilla

Coffee & Vanilla by Akegami Takara My rating: 3 of 5 stars Okay. I think I've given my heart a bit of rest, I can now write about this steamy series. I'm impressed by this manga because it made me squeal! Like *shoujo girl* typical squeal, flailing arms and everything, it was ALL there. Coffee & Vanilla has beautifully drawn characters with a plot that punches you in the face. It's a nice punch though, it's like,BAM, a flowery explosion with waves of desire mixed in. Lets just say that it's potent. *sigh* The plot is lacking though. If you were on the search for something with depth and breath look somewhere else. Review: Aruito: Moving forward, Vol. 01

Aruito: Moving forward, Vol. 01 by Nagamu Nanaji My rating: 3 of 5 stars GIVE IT A GO AND CHECK IT OUT!! Nagamu Nanaji's attention to detail in this manga is one of the things I liked the most about this manga. The scenes and character artwork is very real, down-to earth and fleshed out. It's like there is a vibrancy to the town and I can even hear the trees rustle their leaves. It just sucks me right in! ANYWAYS the characters are likeable and everyone is not just bland by being black and white, everyone is a certain shade of grey & you get pulled in trying to figure out who is what. I look forward to the following volumes. The reason I give this three stars instead of four is because I'm starting to really dislike the interactions between the lead and one of her suitors.
